Steve Blanchet

Stratford: Creative director of Macbeth (2025) and Coriolanus (2018). Elsewhere: Steve has been working in the arts and cultural sector for over 25 years. Since 1996, he has been a creative director in communication firms. His media campaigns have received both national and international recognition. Blanchet began his collaboration with Ex Machina in 2005 during the creation of the large-scale outdoor video projection The Image Mill. He was the designer of its images until its final edition in 2013. He continued with Robert Lepageʼs one-man show, 887, and The Library at Night, an immersive exhibition exploring virtual reality. As creative director and co-designer, Blanchet has worked on an array of productions, including Frame by Frame with the National Ballet of Canada, The Magic Flute at the Quebec Opera Festival, Courville, The Riopelle Project, SLAM!, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, as well as the museum exhibition Lutte. He is designing the immersive reality experience for the Canada Pavilion of Osaka’s World Expo in 2025.
