
Diane D'Aquila
Stratford: Ftatateeta (Caesar and Cleopatra, 2009), Queen Elizabeth (Richard III, 1997), Queen Elizabeth I (Elizabeth Rex by Timothy Findley, 2000) and the Scarecrow (Peter Hinton’s The Swanne, 2002-2004). Diane D’Aquila spent two winters as an associate artist at the NAC in Ottawa. She played Lady Macbeth opposite Ben Campbell in Peter Hinton’s Macbeth at the NAC and the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton. During the summer of 2007, she appeared with Kenneth Welsh in the Toronto revival of David French’s play Leaving Home (Soulpepper). TV: Diane played the Minister of Culture on Slings and Arrows and appeared as the faculty advisor on the talent series Triple Sensation (CBC). Awards: In 2004, she won both the Gemini and ACTRA Awards for her performance as Elizabeth in the film version of Elizabeth Rex.
