Charlotte Gowdy

Stratford: Associate director of Bakkhai; assistant director of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Taming of the Shrew. Elsewhere: Charlotte is a director, actor and educator. She has worked at theatres across Canada, including Shaw Festival, Canadian Stage, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Neptune Theatre, Blyth Festival, the Grand, Theatre North West, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Tarragon, Factory, Nightwood, Crow’s, Theatre Kingston, Resurgence and the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival. Training: National Theatre School of Canada; École Philippe Gaulier (Paris, France). Awards: Outstanding Production – NOW Magazine (Dumbo Squid, SummerWorks); DISH Award for Directing (The Comedy of Errors); shortlisted for the Gina Wilkinson Prize and Bluma Award for directing.
